At 17 years old, most teenagers are day dreaming about their first car. Instead, I was walking out of the DMV with my motorcycle permit and thinking about the old sports bike my parents had waiting for me at home. Since the day I threw away that permit and proudly got that “M” on my driver’s license, my motorcycle endeavors have never ceased to get dull! As a petite 4’10 young girl, I would have never fathomed that one day I would go from worrying about not tipping over in a parking lot, to one day holding an expert road racing license.
Now at 29 years old, I do not hesitate to describe myself as an enthusiastic racer whose passion lies in the art of racing! Racing now since 2005 (with a few yrs off here and there), I am continually more in love with the risk, people, and challenges that are involved in two wheeled sports. I would highly encourage anyone who is looking for a hobby that will challenge them mentally, physically, and emotionally to look into motorcycle racing. The array of experiences you will receive will be both extensive and memorable!
For 2013 my personal objectives are to dive into the world of motocross and continue racing mountain bikes (something I got into in 2012). I use to throw my entire life and finances into road racing, but I've come to learn that life is most exciting when you explore all the avenues that it has to offer. There is no reason to tunnel vision life into one path when life is so short and there are so many spicy flavors to sample. This year I will be doing two USGPRU races on my 125 motorcycle, competing in the Florida State Mtb Championship series, and entering the world of motocross on my Honda 150R.
I know I am truly blessed to have good health and wake up every day with my biggest worry being “what race will I do next,” or “should I ride my bicycle or motorcycle today.” Most people don’t have this luxury and I do not take life for granted. This website was not created for the purpose of “look at me” or “check me out.” I started this website years ago to inspire others, particularly women, that a cookie cutter life does not always lead to happiness. I want to continually encourage others not to watch others play out their lives on tv and, for those who have the ability, to go out and see what challenges they can push themselves in mentally and/or physically."Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go" (TS Elliot).
